UNSTABLE MATTER

Oil on Canvas • 120 × 83 cm • 2026

Unstable Matter addresses the body as a territory in constant tension, crossed by internal forces that cannot always sustain themselves. The figure does not appear as a fixed identity, but as a structure that yields, fragments, and recomposes itself — revealing the duality that lives within each person: what is shown and what is contained, what resists and what is on the verge of breaking.

In this work, the painting does not seek to stabilize form, but to accompany its instability. The transitions, cuts, and zones of dissolution speak of a threshold: the point at which emotional, social, or symbolic accumulation becomes unbearable and begins to fracture the body from within.
